About

Peter is a generative dialogue curator and facilitator, working with leaders, their teams and their organisations to achieve the desired business objectives through behaviour shifts and transformative conversations. He is married with one son. Peter is schooled in the field of system analysis and has an MBA (Hull) in management systems.

He served as an commissioned Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Officer since 1984. He held numerous senior leadership and project positions inn weapon-based operational units and functional areas in intelligence, human resources (manpower), doctrines and policies, budget and finance, research and development, physical security, business excellence and productivity, training and leadership development. His key achievements setting-up of new operational units, and leading strategic and organisation-level developmental projects (e.g. short-range anti-aircraft missile system master plan, physical security system and information system network, MINDEF Manpower Scorecard, SAP HR and Finance & Budgeting for Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF),and capital budgeting and financing for new aircraft purchase). He was also an Internal Auditor for MINDEF Excellence Frameworkand also represented the RSAF in various intra-Service and inter-ministry security agencies projects and committees.

He retired from the SAF in 2007 and went on to co-established a training and consultancy firm (in Oman) for the next 3 years. He had worked with both private and public organizations across Middle East in various Organisation Development works like change management, training and leadership development projects. His key achievements include research and consultancy works to setup a local university (Oman), organization restructuring and HR practices review for Information Technology Authority (ITA) and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA, Oman), and ICT Survey and Report (UNESCO) for TRA-UAE.

In 2011, he joined Swiss Asia Banking School (SABS) as the Business Development Director, and later in 2012 as Managing Director, SABS S.E. Asia. He had set up offices and built teams in Beijing, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hong Kong. His key achievements include co-development of banking programs for major banks in Singapore / China / Vietnam, development of leadership competency model, HR practices and training (for a Vietnamese bank), and leadership training roadmaps and coaching for senior managers for other non-banking organizations (e.g. Emerald, Amway and Euro Auto Corporation, Vietnam).

Currently, he is also the Organisational Development Project Director for Nexusguard (Singapore / Hongkong / Beijing / Taipei / Los Angeles), developing organisation-wide Objective-Key-Results (OKR) framework and Learning Organisation through alignment of teams’ tasks with the Vision and Mission across their offices in Asia. In Singapore, he has designed and implemented Leadership / team development workshops for departments and senior leaders in the aviation/ healthcare/ transport/ and other public sectors (e.g. National University Hospital System, SMRT Pte Ltd, Oil Spill Response Pte Ltd, Singapore Arts Museum, Methodist Welfare Services, etc).

Peter is a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) since 2006 and also an internationally recognised IAF Certified Assessor. He is currently the President of the IAF Singapore Chapter 2019-2021. Since 2005, Peter has conducted small and large group process facilitations (e.g. World Café, Open Space Technology, and Technology of Participations) in areas of Visioning, strategic planning, management retreat, focus groups for public, private and social enterprises (e.g. Amway Vietnam, Ocean Bank Vietnam, Nexusguard-Hongkong, Citi AMC Beijing, Diageo S.E. Asia, REACH-Singapore, Elder Shield focus groups, Methodist Social Services, NTUC Foodfare, Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Police Forces, SCORE, Global Switch (UK), Singapore Art Museum (Board and Executive management), Singapore Institute of Management Group Pte Ltd, Myanmar Post and Telecommunications, etc). He has spoken and delivered facilitation related workshops at international conferences e.g. Vietnam HR Summit, IAF Taiwan / Korea / Japan Conferences and through the Adult Network / Institute of Adult Learning communities.

Peter started as an Executive Coach with the SAF in 2016, being qualified with certified Executive Coach (EC) with Stockmack, Australia (2006) and Erikson College USA. He also conducted numerous Basic and Advanced Coaching and Facilitation course since 2016. He is also a Foundations Certified Coach, Global Team Coaching Institute and Individual Team Coaching Accreditation, EMMC. Currently he is in the process of being certified as Practitioner.

He is also an Associate Facilitator with Institute of Leadership and Organisation Development Civil Service College (CSC) since 2016. He facilitates and coaches both first-time and senior civil service leaders in their personal mastery and leadership development journey (e.g. using Action Learning set). He is a Master Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP) Practitioner since 2006, and also certified in other personality and team assessment tools, including MBTI, FIRO-B, Benchmark 360o, Team-building using MBTI, Team Diagnostic Survey, Strength Deployment Inventory, Humanlogix®️, TetraMap®️, and Human Dynamics Professional (HSD Institute). He is a Certified®️ Scrum Master with Scrum Alliance©️.

He is the President IAF Singapore Chapter, the Treasurer-Board member of the Society for Organisation Learning (SOL), Singapore and member of the System Thinking Data Research Team, Madrid 2020,

Peter also contributes in the social domain through the Centre for Non-Profit Leaders and is a volunteer interviewer for President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (PVPA) National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. He is also actively involved in organising and participating events and learning in the (Theory U) Ulab Singapore and Ulab Presencing Book club.
