About Sia Sheau Chwen

Chwen is an executive coach and trainer/facilitator based in Singapore with clients in Singapore and throughout Asia. She specializes in coaching middle management and senior management in the field of leadership development and management with organizations throughout Asia, including PETRONAS, Novartis China and Unilever. She is no stranger to performance coaching and management both in her role as a manager of a logistic firm in Japan, the team lead spearheading the transition of shared services to another region in the International financial institution and the training facilitator in increasing the performance of her participants.

She has facilitated trainings and dialogue sessions with clients including Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social and Family Development of Singapore, Monetary Authority of Singapore, Singapore Public Service Division, Youth Corp Singapore, People’s Association of Singapore, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National University Hospital, AZ Electronic Materials, BASF, BNP Paribas, Cameron, Carl Zeiss, Colgate Palmolive, Daimler Financial Services & Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Estee Lauder, Cameron, Rolls Royce, Globe Telecom Inc., Unilever Food Solutions, Pfizer, INSEAD Singapore, National University of Singapore, SIM University Singapore and various polytechnics and junior colleges in Singapore.

Her open and warm personality with her language ability in English, Chinese, Japanese, a few Chinese dialects (Hokkien, Teochew and Cantonese) and her ability to work across cultures allow her to connect easily with her clients in the region while providing the directness often appreciated by the clients.

Prior to her fulltime role in training, facilitation and coaching, Chwen has worked with diverse international teams of MNCs in Singapore, Japan and China in the last 22 years. Her corporate experience spread across various industries such as the Hospitality, Service, Auditing, Taxation, Logistics, Management Consulting, HR outsourcing, HR and Finance. Organizations she has worked with include the CDL Hotel Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Nippon-Rikuun Sangyo Group of companies, Accenture Consulting, Cartus and JPMorgan.

Chwen graduated from the School of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore and also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Singapore Institute of Management. She has a Level 1 Japanese Language Proficiency and is a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguist Programming (NLP). Chwen holds a Newfield Ontological Coaching Diploma and is currently attaining Newfield Certified Coach (NCC™) from Newfield School of Coaching in USA. She is certified in Performance Coaching by TWP, trained in Leadership Transition Coaching by Fischer Group International and The Potential Project Corporate – based Mindfulness Training. She is also an ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) certified trainer and assessor under the Singapore’s WDA (Singapore Workforce Development Agency). Chwen also holds a Level 1 Practitioner Certificate in Tension Releasing Exercise and a certified leader of Laughing Yoga. Certified TetraMap Practitioner.

Chwen was the President of the Japanese Studies Alumni Association of National University of Singapore for the past 8 years; she is a current committee member of the Business and Professional Woman’s Association (Singapore) -3rd Chapter. She also volunteers at Beautiful People as a Big Sister for underprivileged teenage girls. She enjoys singing, stage production of drama and operas. She is a keen movie watcher and enjoys travelling.
